    Phantom 4 pro - pulsing/flickering

I'm a little surprised more people haven't noted this issue. It's a real pain. Its a real problem in bright sunlight, especially with greens (forests etc). I haven't noticed a difference depending on the camera angle...

    Phantom 4 pro - pulsing/flickering

Hi Thanks for the advice, I downloaded the converter and changed the frame rate to 25fps (interestingly enough it was at 23.45...) and converted it to Apple Pro Res. Unfortunately the flickering was still there. Worth a try though :)

    Phantom 4 pro - pulsing/flickering

I just did a test and the 4k is actually slightly worse, lowering the resolution either in raw or post slightly improves the footage.

    Phantom 4 pro - pulsing/flickering

After reading your comment I went and tried it on a dell laptop. The dell screen is much duller than the Mac and flickering, while still there is much less apparent. Obviously this doesn't solve the issue but its interesting...

    Phantom 4 pro - pulsing/flickering

The film is shot in bright sunlight in the middle of the day, in a high contrast situation. The flickering is is the highlights not shadows- please re-read original post. Just to clarify again, as above, this is not a problem in low light, only in bright light (strong sunlight, middle of the day).

    Phantom 4 pro - pulsing/flickering

I use I movie, however changing the file type or compressing the footage makes little difference. The editing system will obviously not have an effect on the footage straight out of the camera... The footage is shot in PAL, MOV, H.264 and then has been converted to mp4 and compressed. The...

    Phantom 4 pro - pulsing/flickering

What sort of computer are you using? I'm using a Mac Book Pro and it's glaringly obvious. Try watching it in full HD (you tube allows you to set this).

    Phantom 4 pro - pulsing/flickering

I'm well aware of prop flicker but this is throughout the whole shot and the camera is pointing directly down so I think we can rule out prop flicker. I suspect it is some sort of compression issue...

    Phantom 4 pro - pulsing/flickering

I haven't tried filming with 4k in a similar location, I'll give that a go today.

    Phantom 4 pro - pulsing/flickering

I have a Phantom 4 pro which is a few months old. I mainly use it for photography but have been doing a little film work for clients. I've found that when filming in low light conditions the footage looks great but in good light, particularly bright sunlight I get a horrendous pulsing/flickering...

    Height restrictions NZ

In New Zealand there's a hight restriction rule of 120m. The rule states this but then says 'unless certain conditions are met'. Does anyone know what these conditions are? New Zealand Civil Aviation Rules Top Tips not fly your aircraft higher than 120 metres (400 feet) above ground level...

Flying in area's where GPS is not available P4Pro

Loz I thought the same thing. I'm not sure why ATTI won't let you go up without GPS but I have tried this a number of times on two different drones. Perhaps give it a go sometime if you have a spot where GPS is unavailable. Pic attached of the sort of country I'm having trouble in. The cliffs in...

Flying in area's where GPS is not available P4Pro

Thanks, but I've tried that and it doesn't seem to work. Presumably because the home point cant be set.

Flying in area's where GPS is not available P4Pro

The max height was set at 500m and the return to home set at 300m. What I need to know is there a way to set the maximin flight altitude when there is no GPS and keen to hear from someone who has flown in similar places (caves/canyons). When I fly in locations with a strong GPS I have no issues.
