I was flying completely visual at that moment. I wanted to do a pan backwards getting as close to the trees as I could, from where I was standing in the camp site I thought I cleared the tree's by about 10'. I can't believe I split the trees like that. It was 100% luck and not intentional...

Just for my own curiosity did you calibrate your compass before flying? I've got compass errors and seemingly out of control or slightly out of control bird. I chalked both cases up to a bad calibration on my part. I'm more careful how often and where I calibrate my compass. Sorry for loss...
