I had one of mine go to the bottom of creek I live on.
Took 15 minutes to find underwater.
Dried out with hairdryer and flying again in 24 hrs with camera and all working.
Battery you can toss.
That was months and many many flights ago.
Contact cleaner spray sold at most electronic shops, radio shack etc.
Mine was from friends Auto parts store.
After spraying half moon shaft area behind board under 5 screw cover the gimbal overload errors stopped appearing.
Then sprayed any area that had rotation.
Have used spray on guitar pots...
Thanks to forum and YouTube all back working after creek crash.
Took about 20 min to find hung up under log in chest high water but I was not going to give up.
Took battery out shook water out and used blow dryer. Water was pinkish.
Repeated a few times and sat in front of fan.
Happened Sat...
Rule1. Nothing at wedding goes as planned. Be flexible
Rule 2. Something or someone will go crazy. Be ready
Rule 3. You will not enjoy wedding if you are responsible for photographing any part of it. Pressure not worth the one shot.

Just like in photography where you need to know what each button, switch and setting of speed or f stop does. No one setting fits every situation.
Thats how I look at CL/OL, RTH, gimbal speed etc etc.
Just tools to use in different situations to get the results you want and to fly home safe.
Well I tested F mode, CL/OL set on ground before takeoff today and all worked as normal RTH.
I think it my have been affected before because I was right next to metal railroad bridge. Just a wild guess no real data.
CL/OL did save original setting when I switched in and out of F mode to P mode...
I have 2 P3p and both have been flawless. The green on the blades was all my fault. No harm done. Love them. I don't baby them.
All updated software and flying great.
I'm a retired photographer and this is the best photo tool at great price I've seen.
Every lens I had cost more than this thing...
