I live in southern California and it was 10 days from the day I shipped it out to the day it was back on my porch.

My P3A developed a crack within the right rear arm screw that was causing it to fly like crap when it accelerated. I was not looking forward to an 8 week turnaround, but sent it in anyway. I mailed my P3A on 09/28 (Monday). DJI received it on 09/29 (Tuesday). They emailed me acknowledging...

The problem was with the crack in the case on one arm. It was allowing 'play' in the arm/motor and would twist under power enough to cause the instability. I put on a couple of zip-ties and it flies fine now. DJI said to send it in under warranty, but I am not sure i want to be without it...

Yes, still the stock props.

Didn't even notice my crack until my P3A started flying like crap if I accelerated. The play that the crack allows made that motor twist and it would almost fall out of the air under acceleration.

This appears to be the problem. Under power this crack is causing this motor to wobble/vibrate. The crack is allowing for 'play' and resulting in the instability.

I didn't know, but in what case would an IMU calibration cause this issue? I appreciate people giving input or suggestions, but just blanket "IMU calibration" responses are not helpful.

I tried holding the P3A in my hand and gave it full up throttle..... Found the motor that was giving me issue... It started vibrating horribly under power. Upon further inspection it looks like I have a stress crack within one of the screw holes.

Not an IMU issue.

I flew round trip from LAX to Dallas, Texas with my drone packed in a hard-sided backpack. Had one battery in the P3A and two extras in the backpack slots. You are required to bring them (batteries) as carry on. We used Southwest Airlines. On the way back they did ask to open the backpack...

My P3A has been running awesome for a couple of months. No crashes, no issues. BUT, these last few flights if I give it hard acceleration, it will go completely unstable for a few seconds (dips hard, off track, loses altitude). There is also a substantial change in the noise from the blades...

I have an iPad Mini 2 as well. The new DJI Go app works great on it. I just did 7 flights (batteries) over the Ventura, CA beach.....awesome! The flight log view is cool too....It is helping me with an almost "flyaway" issue I had during flight #4....
