Based on my experience today, the answer to your question is YES.

If you give the photos away, include licensing language stating the recipient cannot share without your written consent. That should provide some legal protection.

Format the card via the DJI Go app while it is in the Phantom, not your computer. It can sometimes make a difference. I know it does with digital cameras. If you can't, it should necessarily be a deal breaker. But it is better for format in the device (Phantom). Again, make sure you download...
