There is physical grinding happening inside the motor... I have been flying it very "lightly" and not near sand. I know the feeling in the other motors that you talk about, the magnets giving it a stepping feeling. The motor in question is way beyond that and control of the Phantom is...
I received my P2V+ 3 weeks ago from B&H and have flown it for about 3 hours total time when I noticed the front left motor had a grinding feel and clicking sound to it. I contacted B&H as the DJI website said for me to and B&H was great at helping me find the right part that needed to be...
I am rigging up an ND set for my V+ right now for the exact same reasons. The color cast is just due to the cheap ND filter... Still a relatively simple correction in post if it is minimal. To get a transparent ND, you will certainly drop some more coin.
Thanks, I use Premiere and FCP X but recently Premiere for the lens correction even though I prefer to work within FCP X/Motion/Compressor... The Alex 4D plugin is just what I needed.
I gave my fair input on commercial usage because that is my primary goal. There can be a reasonable way to verify commercial use is done safely and insured.
You take control over the Phantom while it is in RTH mode by flipping the S1 down and back up. You reset it's home point by toggling the S2 switch a few times while it is in the air. The rear LEDs should confirm you have reset the home point, keep in mind it has to have 6 or more satellites to...
Re: Increase aperture while shooting AKA Manual camera contr
Hit this right on the nose. With the sensor being so small and the lens so wide, f/2.8 is a small aperture meaning almost everything in front of the lens is in focus. I only wish there was a filter thread on my P2V+ so I could put...
I am currently working towards my PPL and have been an aviation junky so I know what you are talking about when it comes to checklists and log books. My Phantom Vison 2 Plus just came in a week ago so I am still revising my checklist procedures but I already keep a very detailed flight log I...
It does, I think they added it in CS6... I don't use it, but I have seen video tutorials using that feature though. I believe it is to help aid in the Premiere workflow.
A lot of good information, and 30 fps is a broadcast delivery frame rate here in the US. However, those cheap soap operas shoot at 60i which gives is an ugly super smooth look.
Unfortunately iMovie does not have lens correction in it. The Adobe products (Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere) have the lens correction features that support the DJI lens profile.
