lol, Actually, let Granny know it's spelled RIGMAROLE. There is an "e" at the end officially. When I first got online WAAAAAY back in the 80's my daughter was helping me. She was about 5 at the time and I ask her what I should choose as my "username". I was signing up for CompuServ at the time...
I'm there right with you Bill! I'm getting ready for retirement and hope to pick up some side work with my Drone. I'm studying for my cert FAA part 107. I've read my phantom's manual all the way through and still having to look things up as I need them. You Tube channels galore and questions...
I use this for all chargers/batteries:
With charger unplugged from wall socket;
1. plug charger into battery
2. check charger cables if they connect to brick/block that they are seated firmly.
3. Plug charger into power socket/wall.
This "should" avoid sparks.
Update: Having a great time with my NEW P3P and the wife wants in on the fun. So, she has freed up some funds for repairing the original drone I posted about; the P2VP. Yay!
I now a new battery to start testing with. Got it on Amazon for about $55 so not so bad after all.
I was in a hurry...
I'm new to drones as well. It was a heart thumper for me too on my first flights.
I decided to thoroughly read and re-read the manual until I was sure I understood it all. I do. Now comes putting it to practice!
I am going very slow and methodical, trying different orientations and moving in...
I'd like to find a detailed parts list so I can order parts as needed with confidence I get it right.
I have a crashed P2VP project on hold but the List would help move it along later.
I just ordered a new P3P and would like see a parts list for it as well.
I've come across ads and...
After doing a lot of searching I'm finding the cost of a battery is more than I want to spend on this project at this time.
I may come back to it later though so I'm still interested in suggestions. However, not much can be done without a battery.
In the mean time, the wife felt sorry for me...
Thanks for the reply.
I guess I didnt make it clear, sorry, I was talking about the lights on the battery only. All green on a single press. Installed in the AC and press once then long press all battery lights go out and only have a red button light. No lights at all on the AC.
After a lot...
So even though i get all green bars outside of the AC, it may still be bad? Ok, If so I can buy a new battery without breaking the bank. Any suggestions where to buy at a reasonable price. Ive found a wide range and many sources but leary of deals to good to believe.
Thanks guys!
Joined the forum about a week or so ago and have been scouring and doing searches and have found some great information, thanks for being here.
