That happened to me because somehow I had changed the mode of the transmitter took transmitter apart and plugged into the mini us band switched it back. Had to download software to do this from DJI site. That fixed it.
Recently had a bad crash when one of the engines failed on my Phantom Vision. Hit pavement hard enough to dislodge camera and it is no longer working. I can shell out $499 for a replacement, or sink the money into a H3-2D Gimbal and mount one of my GoPros, I just won't have FPV. I keep going...

Tried that already. Phantom little red light goes off so the TX is connected. But I have a persistent yellow light on the Transmitter. When I first power it up, it goes green...give me two beeps for FCC mode, then goes yellow.

I too had problems with the USB port on Virtual Box, but after I plugged it into one of the other USB ports it worked fine. Just seemed to have problems with one of them.
Looks like the Phantom is flying in GPS mode and being buffeted by winds and trying to hold its position. If you haven't already, upgrade the firmware and turn on the advanced flying features in the software. You then should be able to toggle back and forth between GPS mode and ATT mode. ATT...
I was having this same problem too. I went through a rebinding process between the wifi extender and the Phantom and everything works great. Look in the downloaded manual for the Phantom Vision. I believe it is on page 14 or 15. Try that and see if it helps.
