I took an FAA approved ground school nearly 30 years ago. I thought it was good material and passed with a 96%, we had a young man who was on his 3rd time through the course and still didn't pass.
At some point I thought "Perhaps the testing is weeding out those who should'nt be allowed to fly"...
Sorry I haven't been active lately and just saw your post. I was using the latest version of Android and DJI Go on the J7. I have recently upgraded to a Samsung Tab E 9.6" Tablet running newest versions of Android and Go also.

I believe he was "asked" to land the drone and complied. The real question is what if he hadn't complied.
It would be pretty easy to say he was flying in a reckless and dangerous manner.
You could just log out and log back in to remove the limitations. If that doesn't work then uninstalling and reinstalling should fix it.

Now that's an idea I didn't consider, a great one at that! We run calibration tests that look very similar every shift and toss them in the trash!
Along those same lines, what do you think about an 18% gray card? It could be used for setting exposure and White Balance. Or perhaps an 18%...

I don't think it would be a problem if you maintained an acceptably low altitude and kept a safe distance. With that said, considering the wide angle lens, I just don't know how much detail you might capture from a safe distance.
I know a drone enthusiast who also happens to be a firefighter. On his off time he monitors emergency channels and flies over and videos structural fires. He does it from a safe distance and never has problems.
I know this doesn't answer the question but adds to the conversation.
Generally speaking faster speeds are less efficient due to increased air resistance. This is why most Hybrid vehicles get better MPG in town than highway.
On the otherhand the Phantom IS using much of it's battery just to stay aloft, so it may have an advantage going faster.
