A couple of fall shots from Prince Edward Island, Canada

You have a marvelous blend of tree species up there.

How to get this style of shots?

I'm sure those digital butterflies aren't too difficult to replace, even if they do get an occasional "cut". I thought the whole thing looked fake from the first moment. The dead giveaway was when it flew through the handrail. That ain't possible with any drone, unless they have one that's...

    Flight camera view

That seems a bit harsh, Quad. I re-read the message several times looking for the part where he couldn't identify his machine. Has the original post been edited, or are you mistaken ? Note: unlike some forums, this one doesn't seem to publish the record of any edits on a post. This one has...

    FPV goggles.........

I have a pair, but have not been able to use them. The focal point is WAY too close for me, and I had my ophthalmologist make a pair of glasses just for the purpose. My regular reading glasses are 1.5 diopters, and they didn't come close to letting me see properly. In all fairness, I should...

    Phantom 2 plus Red light

I'm not too much of an expert, but your problem seems worthy of a response. I am only familiar with Phantom 4pro, so some of your questions seem odd to me. I'm a bit confused, as I think of "manual mode" as being in regular flight mode connected with the DJI controller connected to my phone...

    Maine

I'm thinking maybe this fall myself. Ditch the kids. Even though they are still at home, they have jobs and lives of their own now. Frosty mornings outdoor with coffee brewed with my Solo camp stove. (easy & fast!)... Stir in some real maple syrup & perhaps some cream... (I'm...

    Maine

Mount Washington is a great place to visit; probably not a great place to consider flying. You should expect very high winds and probably flight restrictions. I've only been to Maine once, and not with a drone. That being said, if you like flying tight quarters along a stream or other...

    Hello from Northern Ireland.

While I cannot tell you how to fix that tile roof, I'm lead to believe that a fellow ought to be very cautious on a tile roof! My understanding is that those tiles can let go of the roof and send you skiing back down the slope while you are walking up to fix the one at the top. Myself, I'd...

    Hello from Portugal

Advice is what you give, advise is what you are doing with the advice. Noun vs. verb. "Please advise me with some advice" might be a good way to remember it. In the sentence quoted above, you used the wrong word. Shoulda been "advice", since you were giving it (as an object), rather than...

Need a POI under 2 Meters of altitude and 7 meter meters of radius

How would that be any different from just filming with a handheld camera/camcorder? I don't think the gimble would do much more than keeping the picture vertically oriented. That isn't too tough while walking around a car. I guess your film would be a bit more stable, but that kinda depends on...

Need a POI under 2 Meters of altitude and 7 meter meters of radius

Go slow. Just fly it. 1. Set altitude. 2. Begin recording. 3. Fly a rough circle around the car. 4. Video edit as needed. Repeat as necessary.

Are the original DJI goggles too outdated to buy?

They didn't when I bought the goggles. If they have them now, perhaps you have a link? Of course, the fact that they have lenses doesn't mean that you will know what diopter lens you might need.

Ways to improve exposure with fireworks at night; see video and in-depth explanation below

With respect to appreciating hyperlapse, I agree. If the purpose of the film is to document the events of an evening, then hyperlapse is fine. It shows more stuff quicker. As a capture of the fireworks beauty taken from high in the sky? Hyperlapse seems more like a waste of good flight time...

Are the original DJI goggles too outdated to buy?

Just a quick comment on those goggles: I cannot use mine. The optics don't really allow any focusing. While they seem to be universally focused for all, that doesn't help if you have old-guy presbyopia (reading glasses). My regular reading glasses just aren't strong enough to enable me to...

Ankor Wat in The Lost Temple City Ankor

That would be an exceptionally large & heavy helicopter for tourists. I guess not quite so big if you are allowing for a 9k gross weight. A Huey helicopter comes in over 9k lbs fully loaded, but that's a pretty large helicopter, too.
