I'm not sure if it's related but since I did my antenna mod, Litchi will always have me at 2 bars, DJI Go is completely pegged on the other hand. I'm not sure if you have an antenna mod or not.

The S6 doesn't have any video out that I know of, HDMI or MHL. S6 has no HDMI, MHL or other video output - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

Yes it is possible. I use FatShark Dominators with mine.
1) Acquire Phantom 3 Standard and FPV Goggles with HDMI in.
2) Apple users need a lightning to HDMI adapter (This works much better with iPhone 6 vs. iPad)
3) Connect Goggles to your devices mini-HDMI port.
4) Make sure Goggles are in I/O...
Open Litchi on your Android phone. On the right hand side of the screen is a little VR icon. Click it. The screen splits into two. Insert phone in Google Cardboard. Then fly.
Its not ideal. You need to pull the phone out to make changes. launch missions, etc. It does however work.

My FatShark Dominators just arrived today. I'm stoked to fly with them. I'm heading over to a friend's shop after work. It's a nice big, tall indoor garage without a lot of obstructions.
If you are going to take the time to open the case and replace an antenna, I would recommend purchasing an upgraded antenna, even if its one of the less expensive models. They can dramatically improve your distance and FPV.
