Hello Stuart, iPad mini does not need a separate holder but stock one is ok. I bought iPad mini because it fits to standard holder and because I had many problems with initial Go app version for android. Now I use both iPad for Go and Samsung Galaxy tab for Litchi.

I don't know about the DJI style hard case.... mine was a soft case. Eddie

Before few days I bought from ebay a cheap backpack case for my Phantom, just to move it from my home to my car. I knew that this case was not the best, but for some months could be a low cost solution until i could order the DJI's hard case or other similar. I used it only 4 times as backpack...

Don;t buy cheap backpack cases, lost of money !

In my case both aircrafts were Phantom 3 and we had ~5 meters (15 meters) distance. Next time we also test to switch channel. Good luck !

Yes I'm a new quad pilot and I'm trying to fly safely for other people around me and of course to protect my 1500€ aircraft. After 20 flights, have already test new features I think I don't need the simulator, just to fly indoor in rainy days :-) Regards Eddie

It works ! Changing the country from ipad 's settings the Dji app unlocks the option to choose manually channels. Thanks again Eddie

Thank you, i found it, but i was expecting from simulator to work without the phantom, only the controller and app. Why must have the phantom on? Anyway, after 15 flight maybe there is no need for simulator, right or not? Eddie
