I've had a P3 Standard for a few weeks now and still learning a lot with it. Couple of weeks ago I was flying it down by a preserve near where I live and it was about 2200' away with no problems, also nothing between me and the bird, no trees, building etc.... Temperature was about 50 - 55...

Update Returned the entire unit and received a full credit from Amazon. Purchased another one and I'm having a ball with thing! Lots to learn with operating camera and trying to make some great videos, but it's all fun! thanks for the advise given here.

Correct me if I'm wrong. The rc needs to communicate with my mobile device. The rc has to communicate with the drone. The mobile device doesn't communicate with the drone, only the rc does. So I will need an internet connection between the mobile device and the rc to be able to use mobile...

Yes I did, Still nothing. Spent well over an hour chatting with DJI tech support and unable to help. Then just got off the phone with Amazon, who I bought it through and sending it back for refund.

My problem is nothing is communicating with anything. RC to drone, rc to phone, drone to phone.
