It is doing fine. I am still never 100% on using it all the time. Such as, when I need a bit more highlight detail or a pure white sun I will use Art, because the zebra appears not to work in D-Log but it's because the heavy rolling off from the log is smushing it all down. I shot this on D-Log
My suggestion is to watch films you enjoy, and see how aerial shots are treated. Make notes while watching, and then try to duplicate them once in the air. Always have a plan/list of shots before you fly so you can make the most of the time.

Rent an Inspire 1 RAW. Or get a Matrice and fly a RED or BMPCC. The idea of putting 3rd party firmware on an aircraft just gives me all the wrong sort of feelings.
You should convert it to ProRes before importing it into your NLE. Read this for more info.

It depends. I did a comparison between DLog and Art, and I am loving Art at -1 -2 -3. Here is the comparison: (Though -1 -2 -3 isn't in it)
