Hey Siddy
Whereabouts in Leeds do you go flying?
I too am in Leeds (the right side of the big hill) and I only really go flying in my local park or my parents back garden in Tingley.
I'm slightly worried about the sequence of lights I see on warm up of my Phantom.
From cold I get the usual warm up flashing for a minute or two, then I get the usual 8 or 10 flashes to tell me it's warmed up properly and then before the red GPS locating flashes, I seem to get the home lock...
My Phantom seems to take a very long time to warm up. Approx. 1 to 1.30mins.
I was just wondering how long other peoples phantoms took to warm up. I presume the temp outside plays a big part in the warming up but when the Phantom was new I'm sure it warmed up a lot quicker.
I thought the same thing, but it's simply the magnetic field within the motor that is causing your resistance to pulling the motor apart.
Don't use anything sharp or metallic if you can but you just need to persevere with something solid and prise the outer housing from the stator inside. Once...
**** good advice Bruce. I was thinking more on the lines of, if you high enough you can switch into GPS mode to save yourself.
But I suppose if the GPS doesn't come in quick enough you could still crash.
If I'm ever brave enough to try manual mode again I think i'll follow your advice. Cheers Bruce
I think there should be a BIG WARNING about manual mode for us noobs to quad flying.
Colin Guinn says in one of his videos that when your used to flying in GPS and ATTI mode you could give the manual mode a try.
What a laugh.
I thought I was a pretty good pilot in GPS and ATTI mode but what a...
Thanks for your reply auck
The crash wasn't that bad, I just think it was the position it was when it came down.
I have checked all the wiring throughout the unit and the Rx board is ok. There was no physical damage to the shell at all.
I really want to use the same controller, so I need the DJI...
I hope someone can help.
I recently had a small crash landing which pulled out the battery thus pulling off the battery leads from the main board.
When I got it home I soldered the wires back on in the correct place and then linked to the computer.
The problem now is the Rx unit inside the...
