Before I switched over to Apple for my drone, I had a samsung. 1st off, they work better with Apple, period. (and I absolutely detest Apple products). Secondly, try using a different cord. My cord was messed up and caused all sorts of issues. something simple to try. What have you got to lose?
What I've learned in the short time I've had a P3P.. The most you are going to get in any normal setting is 4000-5000ft. And even that is pushing it. I have one of the cheap parabolic reflectors on the antennas (that'll gain you a few hundred feet). Flying high, I can get around 3000-3500ft in...
I cannot be the only person to think of this.
Why couldn't a drone be controlled by cellular signal. It would offer practically unlimited range.
Obviously the hardware would be purpose built, but using AT&T or Verizon's network. It would only have to send some signal/numbers for the stick...
WTH does a private entity (Disney) get their own NFZ? I understand an airport, but a friggin amusement park?? I declare my land a No Fly Zone as well. I don't want any pesky airplanes or helicopters flying over it.
Best advice..
Seriously, my 13yo uses a P3A just fine. He flew a walmart cheapie (air viper or something) for a few months and now he does just fine. My 9yo still flies the cheapie.
My son and I do it all the time. P3P & P3A. You have to realize, there are only 8 channels they operate on (if you are a good boy, some people have 32;)). (they are all the same Frequencies as Wifi among other things) The other drone WILL cause interference, there is just the matter of how...
Just a shot in the dark.. I have a samsung.. I can set permissions of which apps can use gps (and other features).
Maybe you need to set your permissions to let dji go use gps location.
Anyone know why there is a 5 mile no fly zone around bedminster.. and if it will be lifted? There was some shots in Keyport I wanted to take soon.. and it's just inside 5 miles.
I know I'm in a suburban area, but I'm only getting 2500ft. I expected a little more. What do you guys suggest?
Yes, my antennas are positioned properly... and I tried positioning them other ways too, just to see if it helped.
Are the bills paid? Are the kids clothed and fed? Do what you want. Look, if your house is about to be foreclosed on, or your kids are down to crackers for dinner.... well, don't get a drone. If the bills are paid, and the kids are fed, take up whatever hobby you want.
no knocking your good deed, but a few pieces of PVC conduit can do the same. In fact, I put 4 lengths together to get my neighbors kid's toy drone out of a tree.
I have gotten the answer on another forum and then confirmed it by looking it up on you tube. Apparently alot of folks have the same problem. It has todo with the way the phantom compresses 4k video. It's a known hardware issue, with no true fix.. (although it can be fixed in post-production)...
