Want to fly my advanced 3 after a 1 year of storage in order to sell it. After starting up with all firmware updates I keep getting a Battery temp N.A. and a disconnect issue. Can’t figure this out to resolve it. Have newest Go App upgrade & firmware.

It’s showing the typical “Toilet Bowl Effect.” Most always corrected by recalibration of the compass. When mine showed this effect I started the compass calibration by facing magnetic North. Afterwards she hovered normally again.

Don't forget to list your source(s) on the sheet. That way you can be assured they can't refute the Q&A's seeing they came from a reputable source(s), & not something you just made up.

Are you referring to the 3.1.12 GoApp? It's been out since June 26th. I updated last night with no issue. 3.1.11 also required authorization with no issues for those doing so. BTW, where do you see hundreds if not thousands who cannot upgrade?? Alleged exaggerations like that only perpetrate...

Are you absolutely certain when performing the IMU calibration that the bird is perfectly level? This is a major cause for drift. Even if your table, etc is level, if your landing foot pads aren't due to excessive wear or the gear is slightly off it can cause an error. Be certain all are level...

Unless the person saw your FAA registration # or more likely, they know you personally. The FAA would have no idea who you were. I suspect this person knows who you are personally to provided the FAA with your information.

Was the battery an original OEM DJI battery or a "knockoff lookalike" sold to the consumer? No mention of that was in the aired broadcast or read news. But, it's an important FACT that the news SHOULD have mentioned in their broadcast. Instead of a blatant assertion.

Most tap water is considered " Hard Water" & will leave a slight but noticeable film on the lens if left to air dry. It's best to dry with a soft lint free cloth available at photo shops after washing. Better yet? Buy the lens cleaning kit while your there for professional results. [emoji106]

Turning it off as #Pumpfixer suggests in post #8 will give inaccurate & false positioning for the Radar Icon shown in the GoApp in the lower left corner of the app. If you're comfortable with this? No problem.

I use an iPad mini 2 w/wifi only. I've set the GoApp so map is cached in the background & gone to where I intended to fly hundreds of miles from my home. Once at my destination I fired up the P3 turned on the GoApp & there was my HERE Map in the location I cached hundreds of miles back home...

An 8x8' pad is a little bit of overkill IMO. I use a 2x2' 1/4" piece of plywood when I need to get off of tall grass, bare dirt or, sand. Keeps the gimbal free to calibrate & landing on it isn't that difficult either. Not to forget storing it back in my vehicle doesn't take up much room either.
