Travel in a flash: 48 hours in SEOUL!

Hi. I just returned from 3 day trip to Seoul (first week of September). We missed overlapping by just a little. I enjoyed your video. You had better weather than I did. I'm working on my Seoul (and Jeju Island) video right now. I just wondered about your flying your drone in Seoul. It's...

    Flying in a tunnel

What are "«sjakt» " in your post? Ahh...just looked it up. Norwegian for "shaft." If the shaft is pretty much vertical and not sloped, probably better off lowering camera on a rope. A pulley rig, like on a well, would make it smoother. Don't know if you're shooting video or stills. If you use...

    Flying in a tunnel

I'm not an expert on drones, but I am a professional photographer. GoPro would not be a good choice. The GoPro has a very small sensor, and because of that, they do not fare well in low light. You will get a very noisy image. A conventional camera with a full frame sensor would be a better...

    Flying in a tunnel

My thoughts exactly. If you need to smooth the video out, put it on a gimbal and mount it on some small vehicle, like a golf cart. And some decently lights on the vehicle wouldn't hurt, either. There's an old adage..."If the only tool you have is a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail."

Cant go beyond the GO FLY button screen on my Phantom 4 Pro

I'm a newbie here, so I don't pretend expertise. But I recently had the same problem with a new (used) P4P. Got to the "Go Fly" button but no further. I figured that it wouldn't power up the motors because I was in a no-fly zone. (I was just testing the drone to buy it...didn't really intend to...

    Getting your license

+1 fpr Tony Northrup. I'm working on it now. I was working with the one on Lynda.com, but this one is MUCH better and free:

    Thumbstick sunken in to controller

I'm frequently repairing things, it seems. Perhaps "old school." Fix it; don't toss it. Plastic repair has always been a problem, until I discovered JB Weld. It's a 2 part product: the "steel" and the hardener. There are two types of JB Weld: Quick dry and longer time dry. The latter is...

just got a drone now wondering where I can get stuff for it. It is a P3P

I've been seeing remotes and chargers on Craigslist and Offerup. I figured they must be posted by guys who had crashes or flyaways. USUAL CAVEATS APPLY, OF COURSE.

HOW TO: Request FAA authorization in Airmap

I'm curious about what happens "behind the curtain" when you make such requests. Any humans involved? Anyone know?

First time as a member of the AMA MARKHAM PARK AIRFIELD.

Thank you. I went today for my very first flights. 2 takeoffs; 2 landings. Perfect score! All 4 rotors still intact. The couple of guys who were there were very pleasant and helpful. Not the most interesting place photographically, but good safe environment for a newbie.

First time as a member of the AMA MARKHAM PARK AIRFIELD.

Thanks for the reply. I have the AMA membership. I've been to the park, but only to the astronomy observatory on Saturday nights. Are there any times when I'm more likely to run into drone pilots? Weekends? I could use some input from someone with more experience than I have. Like I said in my...

    Beware this company!!!!!

The PayPal option is OK, if the company is in the U.S. I recently purchased an item of clothing from China. Actually, didn't know it would be coming from China until I clicked on the button to complete the sale. The item arrived after about a month. It was a size for a very tiny person. PayPal...

Were you the only drone guy there? Had hoped to meet some folks with more experience than I, which would be pretty much anyone.
