Not the serial number. It asks for your DJI username, and I believe it's optional. What should happen is it connects to the Phantom, it asks you whether you want to change the default name or not, asks you to sign in with your DJI user and pass, and then activates it (which takes about 3-5min).

I'd upgrade the firmware if I were you. It's a pretty straight forward procedure anyways, and it doesn't require the app at all.

Hi everyone, Is flight simulator module include in the latest version of the DJI Pilot app for Android? I've already upgraded the bird and the controller and it works just fine with the new app (much better than previous version btw.) but I can't find the simulator! Any ideas? Thanks

1080p with 4:2:0 codec is much more compressed than downscaled 4K, and it starts right after the picture is captured off the sensor. Basically, when reading the sensor, the camera uses an algorithm to compress the information from 4 adjacent pixels as one piece of information, and later reverse...

I beg to disagree! Fish-eyes are distracting for wide landscape videos. In aerial landscape footages, you often can see the horizon and your mind is psychologically set to use the horizon as the reference horizontal line. But in fisheye lenses, the horizon is bent and the corners are constantly...

Sensor is the same, and they both shoot RAW. So don't expect any differences. Shooting 4K is a matter of how powerful the processor is to handle reading\coding\recording that many pixels off the sensor.
