New hobby for my son and myself.

Good afternoon, I suggest learning to properly preflight your drone. Check the props, motor mounts, fuselage, and batteries. Learn what these look like new and after several hours of flight. I recommend original equipment replacement parts, research alternative parts before buying spare parts.

    How to deep discharge batteries

My concern of running the AC to discharge the battery is cell reversal. As the DJI batteries are " smart" I am sure this might be unfounded. I have extensive experience with "real aircraft" NiCad battery servicing. We discharged to Zero V and charged/discharged 3 times. I feel discharging a LiPo...

Is the following an invasion of Privacy?

I voted no- because of intent. As I felt you did not intend to violate privacy. Of course the neighbor's point of view might be slightly different.

    Night flights

By my understanding- Hobby flights after dark (not within 30 minutes of Sunrise and Sunset) are not permitted. Part 107 Remote Pilots may fly with a waver including without anticollision lights if included in the waver.

    Names?

Good afternoon , one of the above messages had a link I assume is your U-Tube. I like "skybird rx", the only change will be in capitalization "Skybird RX". Review the FAA restrictions on dropping objects, you must be sure the drop is safe! Devise a new drop mechanism. Develop a NEW drop...

    Litchi

Happy B'Day! Been considering Litchi, still less than 10 hours flight time on DJI Go. Will most likely purchase Litchi as I get more experiance.

    New P3S owner!

I purchased my P3S from Walmart in Jacksonville Fl, in Mid December 2017. There was a sale on top of the $399.99 price. I think I walked out the door paying $360. BUT.. I believe the P3S is now discontinued. I think the basic P3 "standard" is the best introduction DJI drone. Even over the...

    The Shakes

Maybe check your motor mounting screws. Gently turn each motor and feel for binding.

    What’s the best dji app

I have to agree, use the DJI-Go app first, this will get you accustomed to looking at the screen and understanding the standard lay out. If your flying for hobby the DJI-GO app will give everything you need.

    Long Litchi Run

5.4 miles is not to bad- I get 17mins using my P3S and I am sure it'll fly that far. As stated by others: Check your altitude at launch- does Litchi take in account terrain? Use a real map and a satellite map of the route, look for bridges, trees, water towers and other obstacles. Maintain...

    hello from kissimmee fl

Fantastic Video! Just got my first DJI P3S and looking forward to the first flight. How did you transfer the video from the Drone? Did you add the music from the DJI GO app? I am planing to use the PC version of Pinnacle movie editor to process my vids before uploading. This will let me...

    Buying a fallen P3S

I would not consider a P3S at that price. What is the cost new? Here in the USA we can purchase the P3S for less than $400 USD which is rough guess at about 330 euro. I recommend saving your cash. Unless your experienced at rebuilding. Then this seems resasonable

    Fly-A-Aways with P3S

As understand the operation of the DJI GO app , if the aircraft lost signal it would stop where it was and hover until critical low battery. I haven't tested this yet and will research further when I get off work.
