Well for me to say your wifi unit is bad without even seeing inside is crazy. You may have a cable loose or anything. Al I know is I had the same symptoms, switched out my WiFi unit and problem solved.
If you drained the batteries with the unit sitting idle you may have fried the wifi unit before storing. At least in flight you're getting air movement through the shell to cool the unit.
It was in about just shy of tow hours. I'm gonna take her to work and flow N2 through her all day to dry her out real good and then like you said start testing components. Thanks for the reply.

This was completely my fault. I was just too far away. My depth perception was way off and didn't realize till the last minute. Has anyone rebuilt a Phantom that took a dive into water? I'm wondering what my options are at this point.
