FAA say yes to small drones..

Agreed. There has been a great deal of unnecessary hysteria over drones. Collectively, we should be questioning this and the government's response to the "Phantom" threat.....no pun intended.....but pretty good cliche if I say so myself. lol

FAA say yes to small drones..

That's probably the primary reason. Money talks. Hopefully they won't find a way to cut the hobbyist out. Maybe they were referring to this on CNBC FAA may ease restrictions on drone flying The emphasis does appear to be on commercial operations

FAA say yes to small drones..

Ask HIM? uh...yeah...I'll "go there" What part of "accident" don't you understand? Accidents happen and this was one. We ALL feel badly for this child. I don't think anyone on this forum wishes this didn't happen.....but the fact remains that thousands of children injure their eyes every...

Researchers say FAA is really overblowing risk posed by small drones

Someone posted that an FAA committee is about to recommend a HUGE relaxation of drone regulations when flying near people.

FAA say yes to small drones..

Is this confirmed? I'm not familiar with the Verge as a news source. If it's true, what does this say about all those who have adamantly maintained that all who flies a Phantom near people are idiots?

    Another bad and hysterical article

I agree that too many are trying to regulate the skies. Either the FAA is the authority of the skies....or it is not. It's just my opinion that the FAA should declare ALL such aviation oriented local laws null and void. The FAA CLEARLY has stated that drones are AIRCRAFT. Who governs...

    Another bad and hysterical article

Exactly. Yet those who believe bigger government is the way to Utopia take these unsubstantiated "UFO" sightings, sensationalize them through the media, get the big government lovers in a frenzy so that there's an illusion that more laws and more government control appears to be needed when...

    Another bad and hysterical article

This comment rubs me the wrong way. The LA times isn't "worried", they are USING drones to promote their own interests...advertising dollars. Secondly, I see a major flaw in this thinking because it implies that only through compliance are people responsible......if the 406,000 owners of...

So some idiot shot my phantom3 advanced WITH 22.

Yep. THAT's what I was afraid of. He sent enough flying lead airborne to kill off an entire girl scout troop before he finally got a hit on the bird.

So some idiot shot my phantom3 advanced WITH 22.

Same page....different paragraphs. We're at a drone forum......DRONE LIVES MATTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most...but not enough. You WHAT?!?! :) In your state......maybe. (But I'm sure we could still find some drone poppers with shot guns or 22's. No state is idiot proof) In some states like NY and...
