Someone posted that an FAA committee is about to recommend a HUGE relaxation of drone regulations when flying near people.

Is this confirmed? I'm not familiar with the Verge as a news source. If it's true, what does this say about all those who have adamantly maintained that all who flies a Phantom near people are idiots?

I agree that too many are trying to regulate the skies. Either the FAA is the authority of the skies....or it is not. It's just my opinion that the FAA should declare ALL such aviation oriented local laws null and void. The FAA CLEARLY has stated that drones are AIRCRAFT. Who governs...
