You may just have a bad compass. They get messed up I have read if they ever get close to a magnet. The good news they or it how ever many you have are located in the landing gear and most of the time easy to replace. Sent from my Nexus 6 using PhantomPilots mobile app

I was having that problem with my P4. Finally discovered the problem.....the P4 has 2 compasses mounted in the landing gear. Where this landing gear attaches to the drone are a small cover cap/door. Popped one of these doors off and there it was. Compass was unplugged inside the landing gear...

BTW the antenna will not work if you just solder them back onto the plug ins on the gimbal. As you can see they are actually a shielded cable. The shielding itself is th part that gets soldered to the copper plate with the white paint on it. These antennas are not very expensive from...

The motors for the p4 are not real expensive. Have not seen one in the rough. Was wondering why the end connecting to the ESc boards look like . Wonder if they are cleaned off with some kind of end on them , just wondering ?

IiNever worked on a Ranger , just Huey and Cobra. Of course the same safety practices apply to all. My main concern was having a weak link and a heated wire may finish it off. I may have to do what I was trying to avoid, run new wires from the ESC boards and have and extra good connection up...

I think I did , used some very fine sandpaper and a fine wire brush on a Dramel toot , and pre tinned. Has been flying good but I am still not totally happy with the job. Being a Helicopter mechanic in real life , I am problem overly cutious. Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots

I just finished replacing the shell on my p4. She'll cost was around 66 bucks. Kind of crazy how they mounted the motors . You either have to cut wires or de solder fron ESc board. I opted to cut wires... Just a warning , need to clean wires , they have a coating on them that must be removed ...

Don't know about now , but , the iPad 2 had GPS only with the 3G model. I read where they built the 3G radio and GPS together. In other words within the same chip. I could never understand why Apple did this , but they did.

I suppose for warranty reasons folks want to use a "supported device" . There are devices that work quiet well , not on their list. I would certainly try and use a supported device from their list , but that list is not written in stone....Thanks and safe flying!

Have a Huey pilot and a Huey mechanic , Marine Corps Huey/Cobra mechanic. Not a pilot but have gotten to fly a few times. Our pilots would let us have the stick or sticks I should say , from time to time.

If you are running a Nexus 6 ...it is on the Nougat 7 install and test list. I don't advise it if you are running Nougat 7 . A lot of stuff is not working correctly yet in Nougat . I went back to MM because it was to buggy , Nougat 7 was.
