I couldn't find a practice test for the recurrent test so I used the one for the original test. It seemed to work.

    DJI Care- Major fault!

I have both State Farm and DJI Care. The reason is State Farm doesn't cover commercial flights (PT 107) it only covers hobby flights. On the other hand DJI Care will cover commercial flights. State Farm is only $80 a year.

NYC Police will be using drones over Times Square during New Years celebration

As a commercial drone pilot I earn a living using my drone. On several occasions I've submitted waiver/authorization request to the FAA to briefly fly over crowds during festivels, street fairs, etc. These were part of my proposal responding to RFQ's from various municipalities that want the...

NYC Police will be using drones over Times Square during New Years celebration

Saw this on the news this morning. Would love to see their request for authorization to fly over crowds. I assume the NYPD is getting the required authorizations from the FAA?

Best setup for taking close up roof inspection pictures

I use a P4P for roof inspections and the quality is great. I use tripod mode which allows me to concentrate more on the photos and less on the flying. I'm able to easily identify loose or missing shingles, missing granules, nail popping, flashing issues just to name a few.

    Forced to Take DJI Exam?!?

All of the tests you listed have one thing in common. Each was required by a state, local or federal government body. The issue I think most folks have is DJI is a private company. Many people feel it’s a case of over reach.

    Forced to Take DJI Exam?!?

No problem with requiring training or testing prior to the sale. But once I buy it and take it home it's mine and you don't have a say in what I do with it.

    Forced to Take DJI Exam?!?

Maybe you can understand this. If I somehow figured a way around taking the test and flew my Phantom using the DJI app I've violated no law or regulation. The FAA doesn't care about the DJI test from a legal perspective. DJI has no authority to take any action against me what so ever for...

    Forced to Take DJI Exam?!?

Be glad to! Rights come from the people granted to the government thru the Constitution. To my knowledge the government (FAA) didn't delegate any rights regarding NAS to DJI.

    Forced to Take DJI Exam?!?

A private company has no rights to make anyone jump thru hoops. As you said "fly in NAS" and as such the responsible entity for ensuring proper operation is the owner of the NAS or the FAA. BTW my pants are exactly where i want them.
