Spin all the motors by hand and see if one of them feels tighter then the others. If one of the motors failed then it would drop like a rock.

Make sure to check the set screw on the arms as well.

Would you take $700? How old is the drone and is there any indication of crashes or damage?

I really appreciate all your feedback. I have decided to go back with stock motors. With this P3P being my only drone atm I've decided it's not worth the risk.
