Actually, flying in controlled airspace requiring you to communicate with ATC and filing a flight plan is advanced ops and has no business being on the basic exam....which is what we are talking about
I’ll definitely do it different when I try next. I wrote it the first time in 30 min and did not use Google for any of it.....likely why I just barely failed!!!
Where did you find the “study guide” as all I could find was a document stating “what I should know” to pass the test but no real information within it. There were things like “I will be able to demonstrate who can ask to see your licence” etc. but there was no section with all the specific...
Thanks.....I’ll take a read....any guidance on what to focus on? Is there a “practice test” that anyone know of? I would hate to take it and fail then have to pay again
With all the news about people now needing drone licenses has anyone taken the test? If so, how hard is it and what kind of test questions are asked.

If you don’t activate it with a data plan what does it do with reference to GPS? I was planning on using Litchi instead of DJI GO but I’ve yet to actually fly it because I don’t have a screen big enough.
Unfortunately, the iPad 6 with 128GB of storage north of the border here in Canada runs in the neighbourhood of 550 give or take. A new iPad Pro is just over a thousand which is why I don’t want to be forced into an upgrade every year or two just to fly my drone!!!
In the end, I kept looking...
I am having some issues deciding which iPad to get for my P4P.....I think I want the mini 4 but then look at the iPad 2017 and think
1. Is a bigger screen worth the extra weight over the mini 4?
2. Is the A-9 or A-10 chipset a worthwhile upgrade over the mini’s A-8?
Any advice would be...
