Never tried it again either ! Since December ! BUT ... I did get Litchi and Vertical Studio and will try these in follow/track mode since they rely on video, not tablet GPS. They may end up as good as the P4 track mode...or as bad, depends on your opinion ;) Now I'll go to that other thread...
I truly expect 20mph to be very close to the sweet spot in low to moderate winds. Maybe 1min of flight more or less with a 5mph variation ? Anyway, good to know but I try to leave 25-30% battery life on landing. And very sure full throttle is bad ratio.
I find your lower example even worse than mines... not acceptable for me. Try also grabbing some frames frome stable movies and you shoud see the problem there also.
Ooops... Meta4 I think you made a small quick mistake using 35km/h max speed, since it's rather 35mph or 56km/h. Thanks for that Doppler info, didn't know that.
I truly find no reason for not shooting all the time in BOTH raw and jpeg. That way you always have the original dng to rely on. I like the shot btw :)
How about if you start the bird LOWER than your actual location... say 5 meters lower. Then it's "absolute" 10 meters would only be 5 meters over you... would this work ? (You would need a small ground elevation of course...)
Meta4, very true, although I experience more difference usually. Like yesterday. 1.5 m/s at 3 meters, but 4 m/s at 15 meters and 10 m/s at 90 meters. Btw, very stable camera work at 90 meters (300 feet) with 10 m/s wind and -10C. (Quebec city, QC)
Learning to use the yaw and pitch fine adjustments to get exactly the smoothness you want, which may differ in different wind conditions. Practice a lot with handling the sticks, and the pitch control at the same time. And please stay away from elevator music ;)
Did you try noise correction in software ? Many good products out there, though usually used to deal with high ISO noise. Your case is different, using ISO 100. The other advices make lots of sense. You would have a similar problem with other small sensor cameras.
In an ideal world, no need for regulations...
This is not an ideal world, far from it.
You DO realize the danger a quadcopter of the quality of our Phantoms can represent in the hands of bad folks ?
Most helicopter pilots won't accept to do some foolish moves, like harassing wild animals or do...
