SD / Image transmission issue after FW upgrade

Having tried every solution on this forum I finally found the solution. So here’s what I discovered. I have a P4 standard which worked fine with my iPad Air 1st generation. Then at the back half of 2017 DJI issued a firmware update. This froze halfway through and after multiple discussions it...

Phantom 4 No Image Transmission Signal

This is terrible. DJI as a company offer little to no help, which in itself is a disgrace. And this forum is floundering on this subject, none of these suggestions have worked for me. So here’s what I have discovered. I have a P4 standard which worked fine with my iPad Air 1st generation. Then...

DEAD PHANTOM4. What happens now? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

In November 2016 my Phantom 4 suffered a firmware update failure, it sat there for over an hour doing nothing. Neither DJI GO Or DJI Assistant 2 is able to rectify this: The failed firmware update turned my aircraft into a brick. The nice man from DJI online support says if it’s DJI’S fault...

    Update or not?

The last update turned my P4 into a brick, and I’ve had no help whatsoever from DJI. DJI assistant 2 doesn’t work on windows 10 nor on windows 7 in my case for that matter so don’t bank on that either.

    Should I update Firmware?

this thread is for P4 not P4P isn't it?

Finally my P4 IS the same again..

My P4 is still disabled following firmware update. I asked for the beta firmware - never got it. DJI don't look after their customers :(

    Silly question, but now what?

I never had a toy, I just got a p3 then a p4. Beginner mode is good till you get your confidence, which comes very quickly. Yes I crashed into a tree and will NEVER go near one again, don't be tempted. P4 obstacle avoidance can't see a tree that has no leaves. Have a spotter with you if possible...

Ultra-simple "Dronecode" for UK pilots - too simple?

In the UK we were recently issued with this: It really boils down to just R and O, the rest is common sense! Or is it TOO over-simplified? I can't decide. It's from the UKs Civil Aviation Authority. Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots

    Litchi Mission Lost Phantom

I've just seen this thread, read it from start to finish, it's fascinating. Are those trees currently in leaf or bare like ours in the uk? Good luck finding your drone. Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots

    Help, my P4 lands weirdly.

I read that catching is better for the components as there is no impact however slight causing potential damage. Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots

Max altitudes when flying up a hill.

Yes I knew that, if I set it to max 1640 then keep it less than 400 feet above the ground I gather nobody will get upset. The RAF do low flying practice along the valley but there's no flying restrictions in place. Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots

Max altitudes when flying up a hill.

I have also flown lower than lift off and my height display went to a minus value. Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots

Max altitudes when flying up a hill.

I recently took my drone up to my brothers who lives in the Yorkshire Dales, Littondale to be precise. I wanted to fly up a nearby hill to view the standing stones at the top, however the 400ft maximum altitude from the home point was insufficient to reach the top. Is it acceptable when flying...

Phantom 4 - what to check after a crash

Thanks for the replies folks. All looks well with the drone, it just needs the legs reseating and a new screw cover on one corner if I can source one without replacing the whole leg :) thanks again. Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots

    Hello from the UK

Hi Josh, I'm in sunny Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. I have a phantom 4. Just had my first bump, very little damage thankfully, but I will be staying well clear of trees from now on, I don't think the obstacle avoidance sees them widen they've no leaves on. Love the photos. Have fun, Gareth...
