In November 2016 my Phantom 4 suffered a firmware update failure, it sat there for over an hour doing nothing. Neither DJI GO Or DJI Assistant 2 is able to rectify this: The failed firmware update turned my aircraft into a brick. The nice man from DJI online support says if it’s DJI’S fault...

The last update turned my P4 into a brick, and I’ve had no help whatsoever from DJI. DJI assistant 2 doesn’t work on windows 10 nor on windows 7 in my case for that matter so don’t bank on that either.

My P4 is still disabled following firmware update. I asked for the beta firmware - never got it. DJI don't look after their customers :(

I never had a toy, I just got a p3 then a p4. Beginner mode is good till you get your confidence, which comes very quickly. Yes I crashed into a tree and will NEVER go near one again, don't be tempted. P4 obstacle avoidance can't see a tree that has no leaves. Have a spotter with you if possible...

Yes I knew that, if I set it to max 1640 then keep it less than 400 feet above the ground I gather nobody will get upset. The RAF do low flying practice along the valley but there's no flying restrictions in place. Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots

Hi Josh, I'm in sunny Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. I have a phantom 4. Just had my first bump, very little damage thankfully, but I will be staying well clear of trees from now on, I don't think the obstacle avoidance sees them widen they've no leaves on. Love the photos. Have fun, Gareth...
