A Fatshark setup will include a video transmitter, a video receiver built into Attitude SD Goggles (these are the ones I have), and two whip antennas. You will need to purchase a special cable to connect the video transmitter to your Go Pro Hero 3, though. You can purchase one here...
I took the Phantom out to the field again this afternoon. It seems that the constant blinking yellow light is just part of the warmup process. I had mistakenly been thinking it was indicating a need for compass calibration.
After I upgraded to firmware version 3.12, I have had to calibrate the compass every single time I plug the battery in. This is very time-consuming, and I never had to calibrate the compass this frequently with the previous versions. What is going on? Do I need to reinstall the firmware? If so...

If you are willing to spend a bit more money, and if you have an extra pair of glasses, you could make your own diopter lenses out the extra pair. You can find some instructions for constructing your custom diopter lenses here:

I am so sorry to learn about your flyaway experience. Were you flying in a city? Or, were you flying out in a field in the country somewhere?
I flew FPV earlier this evening, and I had a lot of fun during the first five minutes of my flight. Unfortunately, however, my visibility became very limited due to my goggles' lenses fogging up. I suspect the humidity played a role. I had to eventually remove my goggles to see what my Phantom...
