I agree with Flydawg, I've found that the only reliable way to get good shots of lightning is to use video at 30 or 60 fps and then take a screen shot of the frames you like. If it is light enough to show color the noise (grain) should not be too bad.
Speaking from personal experience, DJI drones are pretty rugged, and will survive a lot and keep flying. The camera and gimbals however, are pretty delicate and seldom survive a crash. Thus, you will find a lot of perfectly flyable drones without the cameras.
Nothing wrong with a little extra vibrance or saturation. I choose to record scenes as I remember them. Sometimes nature just can't keep up. Great photos.
