[TOOL][WIN] Offline TXT FlightRecord to CSV Converter

OK, so from this we conclude that (a small) part of a (new-format) log file contains a (device-specific) AES key, encrypted using a public key. And this can be decrypted only by DJI (because only they have the corresponding public key). So this means that 3rd-party log file analyzer tools will...

[TOOL][WIN] Offline TXT FlightRecord to CSV Converter

If the (AES) key is different, depending on your device, then that would make it impossible for DJI - or anyone else - to analyze a log file that you uploaded to them. Instead, you would need to upload both a log file, and information about your device (from which they could derive the key)...

    Tehachapi Loop - pointers?

Sadly, as of February 2021 at least, this area is part of the "Isabella MOA" controlled airspace: AirMap Web App

My own TXT analysis tool ("djiparsetxt") couldn't handle your files either. It seems that they got corrupted somehow. If you get this problem on *all* of your TXT files, then perhaps you are not copying them from your smartphone properly?

Reverse engineering DJI's TXT log format

And something else that apparently wasn't obvious enough in my post were the words "Open Source code". There are already lots of online services out there (and at least one downloadable application) that allows you to convert DJI TXT files into CSV (and/or KML) files. None of these have made...

Reverse engineering DJI's TXT log format

FYI, I have reverse-engineered DJI’s “.txt” log file format, and have made available Open Source code for (command-line) applications that: Read a DJI “.txt” file, outputting a ‘comma-separated value’ (CSV) file (that can be input to a spreadsheet), and Read a CSV file, outputting a KML-format...

[TOOL][WIN] Offline TXT FlightRecord to CSV Converter

As promised here: [TOOL][WIN] Offline TXT FlightRecord to CSV Converter, I have reverse-engineered DJI’s “.txt” log file format, and have made available Open Source code for (command-line) applications that: 1/ Read a DJI “.txt” file, outputting a ‘comma-separated value’ (CSV) file (that can...

Can you fly over Glen Canyon Dam

Definitely not; see https://app.airmap.io/geo?36.937500,-111.484444,17.334039z The dam is in at least three different 'no fly' zones: one for the dam/power plant itself; one for the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (being a National Park Service-managed area); and one for the nearby Page...

[TOOL][WIN] Offline TXT FlightRecord to CSV Converter

Really? What is the URL of the web page that describes the log format? This is the one thing that would be most useful to people. If no such page currently exists, then I guess I'll have to write one myself. Stay tuned...

[TOOL][WIN] Offline TXT FlightRecord to CSV Converter

You just don't get it. The reason nobody wants to help you "make your tool better" is because you insist on keeping your tool (and its algorithm) to yourself. But anyway - your loss. The Internet will 'route around' you, rendering you irrelevant.

[TOOL][WIN] Offline TXT FlightRecord to CSV Converter

Don't you find it at least a bit ironic that you're complaining about DJI keeping their code (and their encoding mechanism) secret - yet you yourself refuse to release the source code for your decoding application, or describe in detail what you've learned about DJI's encoding (which would allow...

Drone filming at Santa Cruz beaches

According to the airmap.io map - https://app.airmap.io/geo?36.804766,-121.789343,15.249980z - it looks like it might be OK, but is right next to the NOAA Monterey Bay NFS, along with the Moss Landing Power Station, and Moss Landing State Beach. I'd avoid flying there...

    What's Up With Treasure Island?!?!

When I look at the "airmap.io" map for Treasure Island - AirMap Web App - I see only five 'no fly' zones, for schools. The rest of the island looks OK...

    Video corruption

If your video really is corrupted (rather than just being in a form that your computer can't play), then I have (free) software that might be able to repair it: Repairing Corrupt DJI Video Files

    Flying in New Zealand

I've yet to try getting permission from the DOC - but I've heard it's difficult. But if you're in a smallish DOC area (e.g., not a National Park) and there's a ranger/DOC staff member around, I suppose you could just try asking them; they may well tell you it's OK...
