At least in Europe you get back the same drone you sent to them. You get to follow the repair procedure with pics, test flight time stamps and quality assurance time stamps. It's actually very good service. Then again, If you totally wreck your drone (power it down to the ground...) then I would...
Honestly, I don't think for a second that you had gusts over 20m/s. In weather like that you would have very little to no control over the drone. As far as I know HD is calculating wind from the drone speed and from the power required to achieve that. So something has caused your Phantom to...
Sorry mate, I thought you were talking about vertical loop. I'm almost certain you are victim of that tower which caused switch to ATTI mode and the drift towards the tower. In ATTI mode even the slightest breeze causes considerable drift. With heavy gusts your drone becomes a kite.

Do you happen to have a video of the incident? Did you receive any errors during the flight? What I find strange is the flipping part. I've seen a Phantom 4 flip twice but that was due to prop catching on to something. Even without a gps and errors with barometer you should have seen only drift...
I just changed all the prop hubs on my P4 (springs were already very weak and bending them did very little). However, if I had known about the new ones I wouldn't have hesitated to switch to them. Unfortunately I haven't seen them sold as spear parts.

I have seen my gimbal going all crazy twice but that was below freezing point. I noticed some condensation before so most likely it froze in the prop wash. If you haven't had any similar problems before then I believe it's due to temperature. Freezing condensation can cause all kinds of...
Sure it is. However, study the local legislation before you fly (applies to every single country/area). Common sense prevails, don't fly in urban area or above crowds, keep it under 150m but since there are lots of approach zones you better keep it under 50m if you don't have the...
I've asked about it from DJI support. They couldn't give me the answer so they escalated it to engineering. Unfortunately, I haven't received any answer from engineering.

I can recommend PolarPro filters. They are light (you can't put too much weight on gimbal in order it work properly) and have better AR coating (at least the PolarPro cinema series) than DJI stock ND filters.

Without ND's you can't really shoot video with fixed aperture lenses like the one which is mounted on Phantom quads. With set of ND's you can drop the shutter down to 1/50 (24 or 25 fps) or 1/60 (30 fps) of second in order achieve flicker free video and smooth motion blur (if over cranked then...
I'm sorry to hear that, but 17 seconds... your cousin didn't waste any time there. Problem with position hold / GPS modes is the fact that it makes everything look very easy but still, it can all spiral out of control in a blink of an eye.

Love using my iPad Pro 9.7" with DJI drones. I guess one can get also solid performance with Androids but if one gets payed to fly then there is really no point of saving few bucks when one can get solid performance out of box with iOS devices. I've seen shoot delayed due to some third party app...
Couldn't agree more. For some guys paying even 20 bucks for a software seems too much to ask for. Anyway, I hate phone-home software but I would actually love to see Litchi implement that. Preferably mid-flight license check and complete shutdown if invalid data found. Well, maybe not but that...
From one perspective Phantom might be viewed as expensive piece of hardware and from another just dirt cheap. On professional shoot Phantom 4 can pay for itself before the first battery is out [emoji16].
