Ok figured it out. The x1 stick needed to be calibrated. Now it works and is controlling the gimbal. It just needed to have a go pro on it.

Yes just found that was the problem. Now the camera just faces down. I cant get it to face forward. My x1 control stick doesn't seem to be working either. Gonna try again now.
