Assumed exactly that. Looking more for any experiences like mine or similar. A situation where the unit was opened for a reason and then closed back up. DJI has clear nomenclature on the warranty that states no tampering with the drone or the warranty is void.

Short version: Fire in my drone. Smoldering later on and felt the best thing to do was open it up and find the source.
