Thanks. I was using the "FPV Camera" app and had it set to RTH upon completing the way point mission. It either got hung up somewhere, ran out of battery power, or just flew away.

Just had the same thing happen with my advanced. Luckily I was able to land it safely, but with my hands off the controls it was literally falling out of the air. My battery was pushed in the whole way.

No, not always the case. Mine came with the new Panasonic card but not the new motors.

at this point you might be best just picking up a used P3A with controller. I saw a couple in the classifieds for $750 shipped

Hunch, hope all is well. I saw your post about the P3 Pro which you have available. I currently have a P3 advanced. I crashed it once but it still flies great (one arm has a slight cosmetic issue with a small bend). Have been looking to upgrade. Any chance you want to work out a trade + cash?

I really appreciate the insight and information. Will have to think about what I want to do. Anyone in the Philadelphia area interested in rebuilding my P3 with me if I were to buy a new shell? Could be a good learning experience.

Could do that. I can look on other threads about the difficulty of installing a new shell, but out of curiosity how hard did you anticipate the installation to be?

I'm really not understanding why. The new motors could just be logistically easier for DJI to make/source/whatever. What makes them better?

Fair point. Just looked slightly off from the others. No gaps in plastic joints. Suppose it if flys fine I am good. Appreciate your reply
