We can only hope the FAA will see clearly on this issue. All the comments here appear to mirror those for gun laws and their use by those with no regard for the laws. The scary part of all this is that anything the FAA comes up with will have to be approved as law by the same people who would...
Speed and camera gimbal angle are the only items I’m aware that requires coms to continue to function. Speed is only affected if set at a waypoint and not relying on the mission default value. I’ve not tried a long distance straight line mission with waypoint actions without coms but suspect...
Temporary data is written to the card during flight, if it can’t write/read fast enough it causes the computer to have problems. See it happen 4 times over the last 3 years with my P4p. Change the card and problems went away. I’ve had a similar atti mode problem that nearly cost me the bird due...
As strange as it may sound, try replacing the SD card and formatting it in the aircraft. If the aircraft can’t write and read the memory card it will behave erratically and not properly record video and photos.
It's a normal measure I use to get repeatable results, wind can play havoc on stability, the drone can easily compensate, but it may take a few seconds to do it, hence adding the delay. With Litchi the weak signal (between Tx and aircraft) won't play an issue as long as the option is set to...
Setup a straight-line mission with photos being taken at the waypoints. Use the photos as the basis for your video, set each for 3-4 frames on a 24 fps video recording. Take photos daily, or as the building schedule may dictate.
As previously stated, always takeoff from the same spot (spray...
The new version of the DJI Go 4 manual is now complete and available in printed form on Amazon Link to book. It's available in print and Kindle version, the Kindle version is free if you have the Kindle Unlimited service.
A lot of work has gone into this to make it as complete and accurate as...
The microSD card in the aircraft is a common problem for this. Start with a u1/v10 rated card or better yet u3/v30 and format it in the drone. Any problems writing or reading the card causes all kinds of performance problems for the aircraft, not just recording.
I rolled back the firmware to the previous version and did several test flights, everything worked great, no problems, 30+ PPH in all directions. Will now try to reload the current firmware and see what happens.
Yes, everything was cleaned and checked.
It has been doing this since it's very first flight 2 months ago. This is the P4 Chinese New Year Edition I purchased in June from a German company DJI P4 in RED, it's still new and under warranty, I'm trying to make sure I haven't missed something...
Yes, that was the first thing I tried. I rolled the firmware version back yesterday and, weather permitting, I will test fly it today with the pervious firmware version.
I know this one all too well, I had the same issue with one of my P4Ps when I put a gimbal protector on it. Didn't realize I had a problem until I tried to land. Held the left stick down and assumed it would slow as it usually did and then do a nice gentile landing, NOT, it came down at full...
I'm seeing a strange problem with my P4 CNE. If the collision avoidance system is turned on it will only go about 4 MPH in the forward direction. If I turn off the collision avoidance, switch to sport mode, fly backwards, or sideway I can get it to 30+mph without a problem.
I don't get any...
