This sounds like a loose connection on the remote antenna which is being shaken when the bird is in flight. Can you get another antenna and try it?

They should have anti-drop pins through two of them to stop them separating, although most people just replace them with loose cable-ties instead.

Isn't it worth sending the Flight Log into DJI? If there was an actual fault with the drone then a reputable company would replace it, that's supposed to be what the Flight Log is for. At the very least, it would be worth getting an opinion from the manufacturer as to what exactly happened here.
