Grid altitude was 200 feet, on LAANC I only requested 150 feet and it was granted. I just went and looked on DJI's geofence map and it is completely different from the FAA charts. :mad: Totally lame.

True!... I came from the days you had to solder everything together and build from a kit, so for me it was fairly easy, but yes, the average Joe, not real easy.

I had the same isse yesterday. I was near an airport, got my LAANC authorization, yet DJI would not let me take off. There was no (apparent) option even to go to DJI to secure their approval. I just used superglue on mine, it's held up fine - that being said it has not been my primary flyer for a couple years now :)

Hey All, The P2 (and P1 I suppose!) are pretty much dead breed I think. Although I have current DJI models that I fly I am wondering that since the P2 is pretty much a dead dinosaur if anyone has converted it to full FPV, just for the sake of an FPV flyer?... I have an old P2 with full FPV...

That's for sure, had a very competitive quote in for a pipeline and the company engineer has decided to do it himself... hope he follows the rules, it's only 1.25 NM from the local airport...

I personally prefer AirMap... even though I don't like their political policies and (insider) FAA involvement. I find it easier to use that KittyHawk.

Just thinking you might try the Inspire or Matrice forum for this... they do a lot more FLIR stiff with those birds. Just a thought.
