I had a motor act somewhat like that when some of the copper wiring busted inside the motor and caused it to get in a bind. Can you turn it by hand easily?
Frank your a speed and altitude guy with these new motors are you getting a lot of battery warnings when being at full throttle for a long time. Almost like the battery is suffering from the voltage beijg pulled. I've seen not enough to return home and bad battery (cannot remember the exact...
Not to sure about the props but this is the first time I've seen this backpack looks really nice

Sorry for going off topic. For what it's worth I think the 9450's should be just as good as some CF props could be wrong though
I flew in the snow for the first time about a week ago the Phantom come back dry. I think the wind coming off the props keeps snow away from the Phantom well enough as long as its not the really wet heavy snow. I wouldn't fly in rain though
I was doing 6-7000 in very rural areas with little to no interference with only the controller side antennas. It is doable. A lot of time it's all about aiming the antennas right.
I have had good luck with FPVLR and was getting 6-7000' work the stage 2 controller side antennas. No sue that's the direction your wanting to go though the panel antennas have proved to be very good

Frank be careful when traveling without the gimbal lock a lot of my traveling consists of very bumpy roads I forgot to put the lock on once and my gimbal hasn't been the same since. I also have a tradecraft case but the lock is a must for me and where I travel.
