I am over in the UK and bought mine from a shop called Argos. This is now the 2nd replacement I have had. The first one had a fault on the Remote Controller and then the fault on this one.
I am almost certain that the first one I had also had the strange noises on the camera and gimbal. That...
Hi - I also decided to return my drone.
It was swapped without issue and new one is fine (so far !!)
One thing I noticed straightaway is that the gimbal / camera does not make any noise.
My faulty one used to make a click and creaking noise - but I think it always did. I just assumed this is...
Hi Andre
Mine is only a couple of months old and has worked perfectly until the latest firmware update.
Mine has now developed a bit of a twitch too. Not as much as yours but still there.
Will watch this thread with interest to see how to sort it.
Thanks. BMP
Yes - I think it would probably be a very simple software update for them.
As someone else said, if taking off near water or a cliff or anything get 20 to 30 metres away asap.

In my case it turned out I had a faulty Remote Controller but if I had taken off over water I would have lost the drone...

Be nice if that was an option to change.
If I took off yesterday from the edge of a lake or on a pier I would have lost the drone.
Good news today is that the shop I bought it from exchanged everything because I had only had it for 2 weeks.
Sorry if this has already been answered - couldn't find it with search.
If return to home is triggered within 20 or 30 metres of home the drone will land at that point - 20 or 30 metres away.
Why ?
Why doesn't it return to the home point set ?
Can this be changed?
I am a new Phantom 4...
Thanks everyone for the replies and the support.
Finally had 10 minutes this morning in "normal" mode (beginner turned off).
I was really surprised with the difference. I assumed that beginner mode just restricted the height and the distance.
It appeared to be much more responsive and quicker...
Thanks. There is so much to learn !!
I have always been interested in photography and video so I am looking forward to that side but not even thinking about that yet. More concerned about learning to fly (and land) at the moment.
