Does the LED next to the power switch on the remote control turn green when remote and aircraft are powered up?
if not I'd suspect the problem is in the wifi board in the gimbal.
The remote control acts as a wifi hub that both the aircraft and your phone connect to and as you can connect the...
higher dB means better range but you have to be more accurate with pointing the antenna at the aircraft.
It's like a torch beam, with the head off the torch light shines everywhere, this is like a low gain (low dB) antenna.
put the head on the torch and focus it into a tight spot with a lens and...
I fly with V1.7.90 firmware and never had a problem.
I get very good range ( I have eyes like a hawk ;-) )
I've never updated, even when the Go app begs me to, I mostly use Litchi anyway.
Looking at the release notes for later firmware, the changes were mainly around flight restrictions and...
Good to hear it's not happened again Chris. :)
I have connected to RC using my phone in the past but now use a tablet for flying, I should probably tell my phone to forget the RC network in case it tries to connect before my tablet does.
It shouldn't cause a problem like you had cos your phone...
I've been thinking about this Chris as I fly waypoint missions with Litchi and want to avoid this happening to me.
1- did you have another phone nearby? maybe in your pocket? it's wifi could cause interference and prevent your RC wifi reconnecting to the AC. worth putting any second phone in...
Here in Scotland we don't get mozzies but in calm weather we get clouds of midgies.
For those who've never had the pleasure... they're tiny biting insects who come out in their thousands and are attracted to Co2 in your breath and also to lights in the evening.
There's no solution, when they get...
I have had an issue with my P3S finishing a Litchi mission and auto landing at the last waypoint when set to "RTH on completion".
I think this is due to my last waypoint being within 20m of my home point.
Something to be aware of if you take off from a cluttered area, probably better to hover on...
in a word..No!
the long explanation...the charger supplies constant current to the battery until it reaches a set voltage, then maintains that constant voltage until it reaches a minimum current.
This could really screw up things you're trying to power from it.
Green light on remote just means you have wifi link from aircraft to remote, which you know anyway because you have video. ;-)
It does sound like you have a 5.8Ghz link error.
very likely the 5.8Ghz module in the remote. can you try another remote?
Thread resurrection....... sort of....
I came across this thread while trying to work out what this meant in the firmware v1.8.10 relese notes for P3S-
2. Slowed motor stopping time to three seconds during flight
it now makes sense having read this thread. :-)
it means you have to hold CSC for...
I have a sneaking suspicion that tubing length is critical for DF efficiency, shorter is not necessarily more efficient, if I remember right you tune the tube length for max efficiency.
having looked at the relese notes for my p3s here- http://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/phantom_3_standard/20170623/Phantom_3_Standard_Release_Notes_EN.pdf
The newer updates after my 1.7.90 firmware were to do with flight restrictions so I see no reason to update. I fly with Litchi anyway so I don't...
That brings back memories Morph, I was last in Jasper (and Edmonton) 20 years ago.
would be good to go back one day but I live in Scotland so it's a bit of a treck. :-)
