I too hope for a new comparison soon! The soft imaging was a deal breaker so if this was just a simple focus adjustment, I'm tempted to pick up a Mavic. I'd likely keep my P4 too unless I find that it doesn't get used.

As a P4 owner, I like nearly everything about the Mavic except for the video quality. If it were on par with the P4, there would be a good chance that id be buying one (keep the P4) but so far, it appears the image quality is not as good and this is a deal breaker for me. Too early to confirm...

I was in the same boat and bought a 4. It was worth the extra money to me. Now is a good time to buy a 4 because of the recent price reduction. I think all the places that have a valid warranty sell for the same price. ie Apple, Best Buy etc...

Looks like the latest firmware will not allow takeoff in a restricted zone. Previously, you could ignore the warning. It now requires a Credit Card or Cell number.....
