(Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3+?

Re: (Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3 No updates yet, though that's because I got slammed with work.

(Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3+?

Re: (Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3 I've e-mailed three online stores -- GetFPV, HeliPal, and RangeVideo to see what they recommend in terms of all the connectors. Only HeliPal e-mailed back, but they're in Hong Kong and there's no way I'll get stuff shipped by next...

(Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3+?

Re: (Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3 Okay, I've been looking more into this, basically at what's included with kits that are sold. On the receiving end, I need a monitor of some sort, either with a receiver built-in or separate, with a built-in battery or separate. On...

(Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3+?

Re: (Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3 I hate being a *bumper*, but could someone possibly answer the cluelessness with respect to the version 1 Phantom, not version 2? I appreciate Diesel31's response, but I don't think it applies to my case. Parents come next Friday...

(Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3+?

Re: (Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3 Thanks, but those links won't work. I have the Phantom 1(.1.1), not 2, so many of those cables referred to don't exist (and I'd need the 5.8GHz stuff instead of 2.4 so there's no interference).

(Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3+?

Re: (Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3 Color me ign'ant, but how would all that work? I assume the monitor (1024 x 600 px) with SPA antenna connector would be hooked up to the receiver (monitor having an internal battery) and then somehow the transmitter is hooked into...

(Another) Best Starting FPV for Phantom v1.1.1 / GoPro 3+?

Situation: I have a Phantom 1.1.1, and I have a GoPro 3+. I'm fine at flying, I've done video and stills (used it to document our roof getting replaced, among other things). My parents will be visiting, and my dad's been getting into RC quads/helis and we're going to go flying one afternoon...

Thoughts on Upgrading Tx/Rx on Phantom v.1.1.1?

Thanks, DeweyAXD. Based on US prices I can find for the model, this is cheaper with the "scheme" and exchange rate. US prices seem comparable in number to AUD prices (as in, around $280 USD).

Help! "Tx Signal Lost" Light, Tried All the Fixes I Can Find

Re: Help! "Tx Signal Lost" Light, Tried All the Fixes I Can Thanks for the input, guys. Based on the GST scheme (that's what Australian customs calls it), and the current exchange rate, the $285 part that they'll sell to me +$15 installation to get to the $300 needed would cost about $243USD...

Thoughts on Upgrading Tx/Rx on Phantom v.1.1.1?

BTW, thanks JThread. Based on the GST scheme (that's what Australian customs calls it), and the current exchange rate, the $285 part that they'll sell to me +$15 installation to get to the $300 needed would cost about $243USD. And I need to factor in what it's worth to me to have it to use on...

Thoughts on Upgrading Tx/Rx on Phantom v.1.1.1?

I had a thread here which described a loss issue, and the short-short version is that my receiver likely is broken (came broken)? I'm in Australia starting a month-long vacation. At this point, I have two options: 1. Wait 'til I get back to the US (Jan. 21) and then send it back to California...

Help! "Tx Signal Lost" Light, Tried All the Fixes I Can Find

Re: Help! "Tx Signal Lost" Light, Tried All the Fixes I Can Took it into the shop and he concurred with me: Receiver is likely defective. I have two options: 1. Wait 'til I get back to the US (Jan. 21) and then send it back to California to dronefly.com and have them replace it, since...

Help! "Tx Signal Lost" Light, Tried All the Fixes I Can Find

Re: Help! "Tx Signal Lost" Light, Tried All the Fixes I Can Davidlf -- Yup, tried that, including today after making the D-BUS change. Re-linked the Tx and Rx, then shut everything off, then went through those steps to re-calibrate the Tx, and when it said to put the throttle down, I put it...
