    Only if your update is corrupted in the download. But unlike the 3s, you can back it down in firmware or redo. The 3s simply doesn't have the support the other models have (understandably in some ways). Could have swapped it out for another one, but why take the chance of being in the same...

    I returned my p3s (did the firmware update and it wouldn't fly past 200 ft afterwards)-bought in December at Sams and was able to get a full refund. anyway, I've got some accessories to get rid of. 2 batteries (used twice each) the 3 dock battery charger, bunches of new blades, snap on feet...

    Will buy something else. Quite stunned at how many people on this (and other forums) just accept that this happens with the firmware update and even acknowledge the crapshoot with the firmware updates. It's not like dji is the only game in town. Sent from my iPhone using PhantomPilots

    Thanks rod I agree it's probable hardware tied to the firmware update. (It didn't do it before the firmware update) I've rekindled the controller and re downloaded the dji app. Will test it more tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using PhantomPilots

    I've got a frustrating problem I'm sure someone can help with. First here's the basics: got my first dji 3s about 8 weeks ago. Fly it almost every day. I think I've worked out all the problems etc that I would expect and so last week I updated the firmware. I'm now running 3.1.1 on the dji app...
