    Anyone. Fly n. Florida

I'm interested in meeting up with you. I'm flying a Mavic. Just now ready to expand my flying area. Been exploring Airmap to see where I can fly up here.

Of to, like several posts here. (Send I may be the only one St. Augustine.) Just an FYI...I recently purchased a Mavic refurb and am enjoying it. Been unsuccessfully looking for other drone flyers down here.

    Can you rely on UAVForecast?

I'm finding it to say the exact same wind speed every time I check...over just past 3 days. Different locations in the city. I'm pretty sure some of the time it's wrong. Probably asking too much for there to be accurate information in it for everywhere.

Just replied to the conversation you started. Haven't been out and around yet...needing to learn more on flying and learn the ropes regarding places to fly.

I just realized you also asked why I was leaning to the P4P vs the Mavic. I'm leaning there mostly because of the improved camera. If the Mavic had the better camera, I suspect I go with the Mavic. Too bad you can't just change it out.

    Goggles / First person view

I've seem some types, I think more like glasses, that you can see through to be able to see the drone. I believe they were Epson Moverio. Has anyone experienced that type, and what do you think? Are there other brands of same thing? I think Avegant is coming out with something called...

How often do you actually use the goggles?

I can't find them anywhere. Not even on the Avagant site. I clicked their 'where to buy' button, and the places listed only had the Avegant headphones. Where did you purchase them?

The p4a has no backward tap to fly, no 5.8ghz, and no side or back sensors. Given me being a novice, I'm thinking the extra sensors would be good to have (albeit only in a couple modes do they even work). The 5.8 ghz seems like it would be worth a strong consideration. That being said, it's...

Hello...I'm in St. Augustine. I have a cheap drone I'm learning with, and trying to decide on my 'real drone', between the P4P and Mavic. I'm strongly leaning toward the P4P. (I know, why not both? ;)) I'd love to get to know some folks. ATM I'd just be a tag along, as my drone would likely get...

No tablet/phone needed when using DJI Goggles?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm completely new to this and in process of deciding what I want to purchase. My question is, if you are wearing the goggles to control the drone, it would seem problematic to have to remove them so that you can do something on the phone. Am I missing something?
