Funny, had a similar experience. Tried to power on the transmitter and would not. Plugged in the charger and only had one light. Took about 3 1/2 hours for the full charge. After almost 30 years of RC heli's. was not used to that long of a time to charge.

Got mine last Thursday and every day since we have had winds 15-20 mph and gusts to 35+. Want to try it out!!! Looks like it might be better on Tuesday though.

The one I got today has "new" motors and 300C controller.

Got mine this morning, looks like brand new, now just have to figure out how to do the setup. Going to be a long time before setup though, controller would not power on and only has one light blinking, so will have to wait likely several hours for an adequate charge.

Tried our BB this morning and they would not match GS. Kid that rang it up was all willing to do it but it came up as a manager override and he would not do it to GS. Would do it to Amazon though at $126.85
