The little dome is a cover for a borehole. This is a volcanic, geo-thermally active area.
The filming was done in overcast conditions with reduced light but the effect you see in the photos and videos was achieved via colour grading. It is not entirely fantasy though. During the 2014 eruption, the gases emitted and their interaction with the sun sometimes gave rise to strange colours in the sky, not very different from that portrayed above.
