Yes we did have a lot of fun. I highly recommend the Gobi desert if you get a chance to go to Mongolia.

Not at all. I shoot with a gopro hero 4 in 4k @30fps. Protune Off. I then crop to 2.7k in Premiere Pro CS6 to get rid of the propellers.

No, I just don't tilt the gopro too much. When the gopro is facing straight, the horizon is flat. I tilt it a little bit to get less propellers in the footage. Hope this helps.
