I'm trying to keep things cheap and was thinking about getting a wifi extender for my FC40's wifi camera. I was thinking that a cheap wifi repeater such as the tenda A6 or the TP link micro would be a suitable option. I think you can probably mod either to mount an external antenna and I was just thinking what might give the best gain.
Logically either location would give the same results as wifi relies on the connection both ways but I would think my Samsung S3 has a higher quality wifi chip in it than the FC40 camera meaning an air based repeater would give a better signal back to base.
Obviously the Tenda would be the only airborne option as the TP Link is waaay to heavy for some reason.
Any thoughts?
