You guys helped me out the other day and I need a little bit more. When I got my Phantom vision plus last Friday the wifi worked great I went like 5 blocks and not a drop out. But yesterday I went like 2 blocks and it dropped the signal on the screen completely. I think I might of did something in the software. What should I look for?

Did you ensure your antennas are properly positioned -- and that they were always facing your Phantom? Were there any obstacles between you and your Phantom? Both of those will affect the signal between you and your Phantom.

As mentioned above, any obstacle could cause what you experienced. These signals work on line of sight. That doesn't mean you can't fly beyond your line of sight, as long as your antennas don't have obstructions between them.

However, we are supposed to keep our UAV within visual range.

Thanks guys, I took the quad to work today and it worked perfect. other then crashing it two times, but its alright. these phantoms are tough. thanks again.
